About The Author

Nicki Bratton writes the kind of stories that linger–quietly powerful, emotionally raw, and just a little eerie. Her work explores the space between the living and the dead, between grief and healing, between who we are and who we’re becoming.

With a background in theater, photography, and film, Nicki brings a visual, character-driven depth to every project she touches. Whether it’s a ghost story, a tragic love letter, or a tale of transformation, her fiction leans into what makes us human–messy feelings, buried secrets, and the ache of being seen.

Nicki lives in Michigan with her two daughters, who are her greatest source of magic, mischief, and motivation. When she’s not writing, you can find her creating magical experiences for her girls, reselling thrifted treasures, or working at her family’s historic movie theater.

She believes in second chances, storytelling as survival, and that the best fiction comes from telling the truth–even if you have to dress it up in ghosts to say it out loud.
