
Rocky Butte, Portland (2016)— one of those places where the city feels like a constellation pretending to be earthly.
I love this shot because it captures exactly what Portland does best: soft twilight, endless trees, and a skyline that looks like it’s humming under its breath. Even the graffiti felt poetic, like someone else stood here once and had a moment of their own.
There’s something grounding about looking out over a whole city and thinking…yeah, I’m just a tiny witch in a big glowing world.
